Xie Yimo (Yixuan) was born in Jiangxi province in China in 2010 and is currently based in California and Canada. He is a multidisciplinary conceptual artist grounded in his personal inquiries into existentialism as a humanistic philosophy.

 

Yixuan's key works focus on understanding the 'existential self' as a four-dimensional phenomenon created through the subjective self's interactions between itself and the objective (defined as the set of influences beyond our subjective).

 

He holds the ALCM and ATCL diplomas in Performing Arts and Drama.

In 2014 Yixuan moved to the United States, and he moved to Hong Kong, Canada, then to California in 2020, 2021, and 2024, respectively.

He is an advocate for youth mental health and the inclusion of youth perspectives in policy-making. At age 15, Yixuan was invited as one of the youngest delegates to the UN ECOSOC Youth Forum.
